1. Overview

SUBLO is a Safari extension and companion app that lets you hide selected domains from Google and Yahoo! JAPAN search results. Personal blocking is local-first and does not require an account.

SUBLO does not collect or transmit search queries, complete browsing history, page content, complete search-result lists, or the links you open.

2. Personal block list

Your personal block list contains normalized domains, optional structured block reasons, timestamps, and unblock records. It is stored in the app’s shared local container so the SUBLO app and Safari extension can use the same list.

If you use SUBLO PRO, your personal block list may be synchronized through Apple iCloud key-value storage. Apple processes iCloud data under its applicable terms and privacy policy.

3. Community data

When Community services are enabled, SUBLO sends an event only when you explicitly block, change the reason for, or unblock a domain. The event contains:

• the normalized domain;
• an optional structured reason;
• a one-way, per-domain hash derived from an anonymous installation identifier;
• app version and timestamp; and
• a country code derived by the service from request metadata.

The service does not receive your search query, the full search-results page, page content, or a list of sites you visit. The per-domain hash enforces one current vote per installation and domain. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Purposes

Community data is used to maintain aggregate block counts, calculate reason distributions and Search Block Rank, prevent duplicate votes and manipulation, provide country-level aggregate counts, and operate and secure the service.

5. Sharing and providers

SUBLO does not sell personal data and does not use Community data for advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple may process iCloud synchronization data, and Cloudflare may process limited Community-service data solely to provide infrastructure and security.

6. Retention

The local block list remains until you remove entries or delete the app’s data. iCloud retention is governed by your iCloud account and Apple’s services. Community records represent the current block state; an unblock request removes the current Community vote and adjusts aggregates. Operational security logs, when enabled, are retained for no more than 30 days unless a longer period is required to investigate abuse or comply with law.

7. Your choices

You can use FREE local blocking without an account, skip the optional reason, unblock individual domains, clear your list, turn off the Safari extension, or delete the app.

8. Children

SUBLO is not directed to children and does not knowingly request names, email addresses, or other direct identifiers from children.

9. Security

SUBLO minimizes transmitted data, normalizes domain inputs, uses one-way hashing for duplicate-vote enforcement, and limits Community records to what the service needs. No security method can guarantee absolute protection.
